Rejuran vs skin booster injections at Abijou Myeongdong: is Rejuran a skin booster, and how do the menu lines differ?

Rejuran is one named product line, made with salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN) placed in the dermis; “skin booster” and “hydration injection” are menu headings, and published terminology work states that no comprehensive definition of skin booster exists. So the two are not a matched pair. Abijou Myeongdong files both under its Skin Booster menu: Rejuran lines by product and cc, and Lilied hydration lines by cc, as observed on 12 October 2026 (VAT excluded). Which one fits you is decided at an in-person consultation.

Is Rejuran a skin booster, or a different thing?

It is a product, and it is usually listed under the skin booster heading. The heading is the loose part: the 2024 terminology paper states that a specific, comprehensive definition of “skin booster” has not yet been established.

That is why searches such as “is Rejuran a hydration injection” have no one-word answer. At Abijou Myeongdong the booking-centre menu puts both Rejuran and the Lilied hydration lines inside the Skin Booster category, so the clinic’s own filing treats them as neighbours; what is injected is still different, and the next sections separate it.

What is Rejuran, according to its maker?

PharmaResearch describes Rejuran as an injectable medical device containing polynucleotide (PN), intended for temporary improvement of facial wrinkles.

  • The principal material is salmon-derived PN made with PharmaResearch’s DOT technology, and the maker describes it as being placed into the dermis.
  • The lineup has separate products: classic, i, s and HB plus. HB plus also contains hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, which matters for allergy screening.
  • The product name alone does not tell you which area it suits; confirm the exact product and its locally approved use before treatment.

What does a hydration injection name actually promise?

It names a route, not a recipe. The same menu heading can cover non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid on its own or a cocktail with other ingredients.

  • A systematic review of 15 studies describes both hyaluronic acid alone and cocktail preparations under this field, and reports hyaluronic acid alone performing better than cocktails. Its authors list small samples and limited long-term follow-up, so read it as a direction.
  • At Abijou Myeongdong the hydration lines are named by product and volume (Lilied, 2cc or 5cc), so the product name on the menu is the thing to ask about, not the word “hydration”.

Why a straight comparison misleads

Rejuran is a branded PN product; “skin booster” is a category and “hydration injection” is a menu word. Setting “Rejuran vs skin booster” side by side compares a name with a heading.

  • Evidence follows a substance and a protocol, never a heading. A figure from a hyaluronic acid trial does not describe Rejuran, and a maker’s Rejuran description does not describe every hydration product.
  • Neither source set ranks the two, and this page does not either. Ask the doctor which product is proposed for your concern and why.

What do the Abijou Myeongdong menu lines look like?

HISTORICAL EXAMPLE, not a current quote. In the 12 October 2026 booking-centre snapshot, single Rejuran lines run from KRW 198,000 (Rejuran Eye 1cc) to KRW 858,000 (Rejuran HB Plus 4cc), and Lilied hydration lines are KRW 108,900 (2cc) and KRW 217,800 (5cc). Amounts exclude VAT; a first-visit trial line is labelled as such.

  • Rejuran is sold by product and cc (Eye 1cc, Healer 2cc, S 1cc, HB Plus 1cc, 2cc and 4cc); the Lilied lines are sold by cc, alone or with a Cryocell step.
  • A Lilied PN 2cc line sits on the Rejuran menu page at KRW 220,000; read its product name on the menu and ask what it contains rather than inferring it.
  • A menu price is the cost of an item, not a measure of result. Ask for a written quote naming product, volume and session count.

What reactions and risks are on the record?

Both are injections, so discomfort is part of the picture. For Rejuran the maker notes that PN’s molecular weight and viscosity can contribute to injection pain.

  • In the hydration-injection literature, a systematic review of 30 studies covering 423 patients with non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection after mesotherapy reported a mean onset of 32.5 days after injection; for a traveller that is usually after the flight home.
  • Ask for the product name as printed on the packaging, the volume, and whether anything is mixed in, and keep the answer. Ask how to reach the clinic from abroad.

What should you ask before choosing?

These questions keep the decision about your skin and a written plan, not a label.

  • Which exact product is proposed (Rejuran Eye, Healer, S, HB Plus, or a Lilied line), and why for my concern and area?
  • What is in it, how much per session, and is anything mixed in?
  • How many sessions are planned, at what interval, and where do you base that?
  • What are the product-specific contraindications and reactions in the local instructions for use?
  • Who injects, and how can I reach the clinic after I fly home?

Frequently asked questions

Is Rejuran a skin booster?

It is commonly grouped under skin boosters, and the Abijou Myeongdong menu lists it in its Skin Booster category. The group itself has no comprehensive definition, so the product name, a PN-based injectable in Rejuran’s case, is what to compare.

Is Rejuran the same as a hydration injection?

Not by the sources. Rejuran is a named PN product described by its maker as placed in the dermis for temporary improvement of facial wrinkles. “Hydration injection” is a menu heading whose contents depend on the product named, such as the Lilied lines on the Myeongdong menu.

What is the difference between the Rejuran Eye, Healer, S and HB Plus menu lines?

They are separate menu lines; the maker describes its HB plus product as also containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. The Myeongdong menu sells Eye 1cc, Healer 2cc, S 1cc and HB Plus in 1cc, 2cc and 4cc. Which suits an area is a doctor’s decision.

Which is better, Rejuran or a skin booster?

There is no single answer, and this page does not rank them. It depends on your concern, the area, the exact product and your history, assessed in person. Ask the clinic to name the product and explain why it is proposed.

How much do they cost at Abijou Myeongdong?

In the 12 October 2026 snapshot, single Rejuran lines were KRW 198,000 to KRW 858,000 and Lilied lines KRW 108,900 (2cc) and KRW 217,800 (5cc), VAT excluded. A first-visit Rejuran Eye trial line was KRW 108,900. Prices change, so confirm at booking.

Is the hydration injection safe to have before I fly home?

Discuss your departure date before booking. The literature on infection after mesotherapy reports a mean onset of 32.5 days, so symptoms can appear after you are home. Keep the product name and treatment date, and ask how to reach the clinic from abroad.

Can I book on a Sunday?

Yes. Abijou Myeongdong is open Mon–Fri 09:30–20:30 and Sat and Sun 09:30–18:00 with no lunch break, and closed on public holidays. Reserve through the booking-centre page, KakaoTalk or WhatsApp.

How Abijou works

Abijou started in Gangnam in 2006 and opened the Myeongdong branch in March 2007. Myeongdong is where office workers and visitors to Seoul overlap, and a clinic that only opens on weekday afternoons misses most of both. Running with no lunch break and staying open on Sunday was a decision made for that reason. The line we work to is skin transformation woven into everyday life — care you can keep up with, rather than one dramatic intervention.

  • Opened March 2007 — now one of 17 Abijou branches nationwide
  • Open Saturday and Sunday, and no lunch break on any day of the week
  • We quote the official published price list as it stands
  • Across the 17 branches in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon and Busan: over 1,000 medical professionals and more than 350 certified medical devices
  • Authentic products only, in appropriate amounts — the treatment is fitted to the condition, not to a package
