Can you be seen on a Sunday or after work, and does that change how you decide?
The branch lists Sunday 09:30–18:00 and weekday evenings until 20:30, with no lunch break, and closes only on public holidays. For a short stay that means the consultation, the session and any follow-up question can be fitted around a flight date rather than the other way round.

Are there lines that combine the two devices?
Yes. The Myeongdong Thermage page lists six one-session sets that pair Ultherapy PRIME 300, 400 or 600 shots with Thermage FLX 600 or 900 shots, from KRW 3,168,000 to KRW 4,840,000, VAT excluded. Two of them carry the menu name Ulthermage (PRIME 300 + FLX 600 and PRIME 600 + FLX 600).
- PRIME 400 shots appears only inside sets, never as a single line.
- A set is a pricing format. Whether doing both, and in what order, suits you is the doctor’s decision after an examination.
What is actually different about the two devices?
The energy. Solta Medical describes Thermage as a monopolar, capacitively coupled radiofrequency system that uses a reverse thermal gradient, cooling the surface while heating below it. Ultherapy PRIME, launched by Merz Aesthetics on 23 September 2024, sends micro-focused ultrasound to a chosen depth after the operator has looked at the tissue layers on screen.

What is known about discomfort, and what should you watch for afterwards?
A 2024 meta-analysis of 42 studies on visualized micro-focused ultrasound reported a pooled mean pain score of 4.85 out of 10, across studies with different settings, areas and protocols. For Thermage FLX the design is a cooled surface over heated tissue; ask which comfort measures the branch uses for your tip and area.
- General safety guidance: contact the clinic promptly for blistering, a suspected burn, increasing pain, spreading redness or warmth, fever, persistent numbness or new facial asymmetry.
